Re: New Project 2017 Silverado
Dude, we just need to weld a nut to what's left of the bolt and we'll get it out proper. Worked like a charm on my son's truck.

Hey Joe. I’m glad that you are liking your truck. It’s pretty amazing what you can tune on these trucks. You can pick up such a better feel just tuning the transmission. Did you also tune your gas pedal? Mine is turned all the way up. It actually has throttle response now. I can turn my spin control switch off now and I can leave 2 black marks into second gear now. It even gets a little sideways! Good luck.

Sounds like you have one fun daily driver now! Maybe that's why you work so much, you just like the drive there and back!

It does add some excitement. We actually had a 3 way drag race from a red light this morning at about 5:10. It gets out on those big 4-door 4x4 trucks that Houston is full of.

Re: New Project 2017 Silverado
Hey. I bought a 6.2 long block and I have started working on it. I am going to add a Texas Speed 3 bolt cam kit, DOD delete kit, and ported heads. It's funny that I saw a video of an Indy Cylinder head 426 HEMI that probably cost around $20,000 and it dynoed less than a cammed LT1 Gen V engine with ported heads. That's crazy. The little truck that I drive to work will have more HP than an LS6 Chevelle and a HEMI Cuda. I will be working on the heads tomorrow. I have already taken the valves and springs out and I need to clean that insane Direct Injection goo out of the heads. I am also porting an L86 intake and adding a 95mm LT5 throttle body. I still need to get another driveshaft built so I can go 150 mph. Yes, I am trying for 150 mph in this truck. Of course I drive down to Mexico to do that. Wish me luck.

You've been busy! That truck is gonna be too nice and too fast for a work truck!
