70 Monte sittin on a 96 Impala Chassis...
Guess this goes to show how closely the B-bodies are to the A/G-bodies.
'70 Monte with a '96 Impala SS chassis and powertrain.

Look at the picture form the side dead on.The wheels dont sit square in the wheel wells. That would drive me nuts

That is a sweet ride.
It is nicely done.
I always wonder why people spend so much time effort and money on a project like this, and then turn right around and sell it.
Maybe after he got it home and he realized the wheels definately aren't centered in the wheelwells it was time for someone else to own it....

That would make me sell it. Its in the picture looking dead on to the drivers side. I dont get the point of doing this, maybe on a car like a 56 Chevy I can understand but they make so much nice stuff for a-body's this is unnecessary.

Too far back in the wheel wells...good eye dude. Didn't notice at a glance. Wonder if it might be better on a 73-77 vs a 1st Gen? I get what you're saying though.

Wow ... that's cool.
That steering wheel is from a G3GM, too.

Re: 70 Monte sittin on a 96 Impala Chassis...
When GM started with the 91 and up body style, the rear wheels never where centered in the rear wheel well either, Too far forward, The problem never really was noticeable until the impala came out in 94,, the 17 inch wheels really showed the problem, it was so bad the aftermarket made extended control arms and a longer driveshaft.
